Legacy of Compassion

The Story of Geoffrey Kihara Ndoigo and Mustakabali Wetu-Our Future

In honoring the legacy of the late Mr. Geoffrey Kihara Ndoigo, we celebrate not only his visionary leadership but the profound impact he had on those around him. Among the many stories of his compassion, one stands out—a testament to his dedication to others.

During a time of great need, Geoffrey extended unwavering support to his dear friend, Mr. Andrea Cheboi. As Mr. Cheboi battled tuberculosis, Geoffrey stood by him—offering emotional and financial support, hospital visits, and covering treatment costs. His help was not a fleeting act but a deep, lifelong bond.

When illness eventually befell Geoffrey, it was Mr. Cheboi who returned that same loyalty—standing by him during his final moments, a powerful reflection of their enduring friendship.

Geoffrey’s kindness extended beyond individuals. His philanthropic efforts touched countless lives in the community. From fundraising to helping the vulnerable, his generosity inspired many to do the same.

Tributes from beneficiaries highlight the man he was—from Betty Wamboi’s online gratitude to the children he supported. Each story honors the legacy of a man who gave selflessly.

As we reflect on Geoffrey Kihara Ndoigo’s life, may his compassion continue to guide us. Let his legacy of kindness and service live on in all who knew him.

CO-FOUNDER
Mustakabali Wetu-Our Future

Lisa Anna Palmer is the Co-President of the Board of Directors, Mustakabali Wetu-Our Future. Lisa became friends with Founder, Geoffrey Kihara Ndoigo in 2021. She was so inspired by his leadership and his desire to serve the children in his community who were in great need that she offered to help him advance his noble project. First as a leadership coach and by helping with fundraisers, and then as a close collaborator and friend with a shared purpose. Lisa considered Geoffrey as a brother from far away and worked with him for nearly three years to help him clarify his vision, keep the children in school, and develop strategies to one day establish Mustakabali Wetu-Our Future as an international charitable organization. While Geoffrey’s illness and eventual passing left Lisa heartbroken, she felt both humbled and honoured when Geoffrey’s family asked her to collaborate with them to continue to keep Geoffrey’s dream alive.

Lisa is the proud daughter of Italian immigrants. She grew up in Canada, where she currently resides with her husband, Andrew and son, Jake, along with their extended family.

Some of our success stories

Marion was born in 2006 to a single mum who does casual jobs in Mogotio Town to be able to support her family. It is very difficult for her considering that casual labour in Kenya only pays @2 - 3 USD per day. This means she can only afford to buy food for the family but cannot send her kids to School. That is why we came in to help Marion go to school three years ago. She sat for her final exams in High school in 2024. Through the years, Marion has really transformed into a confident and happy young woman. She has found a real sense of belonging since we've taken her under our wings. She is now in collage.

Zaid was born in July of 2018 to a single mother in Mogotio Town. Sadly, Zaid's mother passed away in March of 2022, leaving Zaid an orphan to be raised by his grandmother, who is very ill. Weintervened and started helping him. It's been very difficult working with Zaid, as he often asks about when his Mom will return home to be with him. We are working hard to ensure that despite all this pain. hardship, and heartbreak, that Zaid has a chance to grow up to be a happy, successful, and confident young man. Zaid is now in grade 3.

Jael was born in July of 2017 in Mogotio to a single mother in a village called Kapsigiroi, which isoccupied by the very poor in Mogotio, and which the locals refer to it asa "slum." It is not an ideal environment for a child's upbringing, so we started intervening to support Jael from a young age by providing her and her family with food and other necessities. At the age of 3 years, we enrolled Jael in school, where she started kindergarten or what is known as"BabyClass."JaeI gets top marks and is excelling in school. Patrick was born in the Makongeni area of Mogotio to a single mother of five. He was brought up through serious hardship, and he grew up in a very tough environment, where his mum was working in a farm planting and harvesting sisal and had to turn to other means. No matter how hard she tried, she still could not afford to pay for her five kids to go to school. We found out that some would have to drop out, and that's how we came to support Patrick's education three years ago. Patrick sat his final High School exams in 2024 and is now in collage.

In Memoriam: Geoffrey Kihara Ndoigo

Founder, Philanthropist, Friend

In honoring the legacy of the late Mr. Geoffrey Kihara Ndoigo, we celebrate not only his visionary leadership but also the profound and lasting impact he made on the lives of those around him. Among the many stories that reflect his compassionate nature, one in particular stands out—a powerful example of his deep commitment to serving others with humility and grace.

During a time of great need, Geoffrey extended his unwavering support to his dear friend, Mr. Andrea Cheboi. When Mr. Cheboi was diagnosed with tuberculosis, a serious and life-threatening illness, Geoffrey was there—not just as a friend, but as a lifeline. He offered both emotional support and financial assistance, visiting him in the hospital and covering crucial medical expenses. Geoffrey’s care and concern lightened his friend’s burden and gave him strength during a deeply vulnerable time.

This act of kindness was not a one-time gesture but part of a friendship built on loyalty and trust. When illness eventually struck Geoffrey himself, it was Mr. Cheboi who stood by him—this time offering the same unwavering support. In Geoffrey’s final days, the presence of his trusted friend brought him comfort and peace, reflecting the strength and reciprocity of their enduring bond.

Geoffrey’s compassion extended far beyond his personal relationships. His philanthropic efforts reached deep into the community, where his acts of generosity changed lives. Whether organizing fundraisers, mentoring youth, or providing support to struggling families, Geoffrey’s selfless actions became a beacon of hope to many. His heart was always open to those in need.

The many tributes shared in his memory speak volumes. From Betty Wamboi’s public expression of gratitude on social media to the testimonies of children whose lives were transformed by his care, each story paints a picture of a man who lived for the betterment of others.
